Caprice String Quartet is a classical music ensemble based in the greater metropolitan area of Milwaukee, WI. Established in 2001, Caprice has more than a decade of experience performing at public and private events in some of Milwaukee’s most popular venues for notable clients such as GE Medical, Harley Davidson, We Energies and the Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM).

Kate

Violin

Kate is a graduate of UW-Madison with a degree in English and Communication Arts, and recently completed a BFA in Interdisciplinary Arts & Technology at UW-Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts. She has played with the UWM Community Orchestra, and is also a former member of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO), and its Chamber Ensemble Program.

Jamie

Cello

Jamie graduated from the UW-Madison School of Business with a degree in Marketing and Human Resources. She was also awarded a full tuition scholarship for Music Performance, and performed as a member of the University Symphony Orchestra. She is an alumna of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO), and participated in the organization’s Chamber Ensemble Program.

Lauren

Viola

An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Lauren graduated with high honors from UW-Milwaukee with a BFA in both Music Education and Music Performance. She began teaching music in 2003, and founded her own private teaching studio, Keyed In Musical Instruction, offering lessons in viola, violin, clarinet, saxophone, piano, and voice.

Brittany

Violin

Brittany holds a bachelors degree in violin performance from Wisconsin Lutheran College, where she studied under former MSO member, Jerry Franke. A Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) alum herself, she currently serves as a violin coach for multiple programs within MYSO. She also teaches privately at White House of Music in Waukesha, Mozart’s Gym in Brookfield and Star of Bethlehem Lutheran in New Berlin.
